The photographer claimed West had punched him, unprovoked, and "wrestled his camera to the ground." SEE MORE: Inside theVanity Fair Oscar Party West did not appear in court yesterday, but his attorney entered a plea of no contest, while maintaining that his client was innocent. As a result of the plea, however, West was sentenced to two years of probation, 24 anger-management therapy sessions, and 240 hours of community service, per Reuters. You just know, in their Hidden Hills manse, Kris Jenner finished her glass of white wine, turned to Kim, and asked, "So I think I know the answer to this, but . . . there's no way Kanye would let us film him at community service, or, you know, even just on his way there .
Source: http://shine.yahoo.com/fashion/kanye-west-going-anger-management-155100300.html

However, Daniel Ramos isnt interested in settling the case. He wants to se West behind bars so bad that he says he wont settle for any amount of money. Ramos acquired famed attorney Gloria Allred to lead his legal team. Allred has hit the ground running. And hes in for a world of trouble because of it. Hurley posted the video on a new website hed just launched, MixBit, and from the angle of it, it was clear that hed shot it, perhaps on his mobile phone. While that in itself is no crime, making it public was because Hurley, like every other guest to the surprise party, had signed a confidentiality agreement before he went in. As rumored shortly after the leak, Kanye and Kim did take legal action against him, arguing in court that the leak cost them millions millions that Hurley will probably have to pay out of his own pocket for breach of contract. The YouTube co-founder initially tried to argue before a judge that the NDA he had signed wasnt a proper one but, Radar Online informs, the judge dismissed his argument, siding with Kim and Kanye and allowing the case to proceed to trial. A hearing has been set for November 17, unless both parties reach some sort of agreement before that.
Source: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Kanye-West-Kim-Kardashian-Go-After-YouTube-Co-Founder-Chad-Hurley-in-Court-for-Leaked-Video-432949.shtml

According to AP , LA Superior Court Judge Ruth Ann Kwan ruled that the lawsuit "does not violate the free speech rights of the co-founder of YouTube," which we'll assume means that Hurley was unsuccessful in showing that the complained-about act was in furtherance of his First Amendment rights. As such, the judge needn't make any analysis about who was likely to prevail. The case continues towards a trial date, scheduled for next November, although a signaled appeal from Hurley's lawyer is likely to delay such a TMZ-friendly showdown. STORY:YouTube Founder Asks Why Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Aren't Suing TMZ Eventually, the case could make tabloids and legal geeks alike happy. In his anti-SLAPP motion, Hurley signaled his intent to pursue a defense that the release form he signed isn't valid because of a lack of consideration. Hurley argues that he doesn't see appearing on television as a benefit.
Source: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/kanye-west-kim-kardashian-moving-689449

Kanye West Sentenced To Anger Management Therapy After Pleading No Contest In Battery Case

The paparazzo is unhappy with the rapper striking a plea deal on Monday (03.17.14) concerning their Los Angeles International Airport altercation last July and is reportedly refusing to settle for money because he wants to bring the 'Stronger' hitmaker to trial, according to TMZ. The photographer - who says he was punched by Kanye in what he claims was an unprovoked attack - is refusing a settlement agreement in the civil lawsuit case and the gossip site reports that a trial date has already been set. Ramos' attorney Gloria Allred has reportedly also already sent Kanye notice for a deposition. The City Attorney did not make Kanye - who wasn't in court - plead guilty of misdemeanour charges of battery earlier this week. The star will be allowed to maintain his innocence legally, under the condition that he remains under probation for two years, undertakes 250 hours of community service and undergoes anger management counselling.
Source: http://www.starpulse.com/news/Lucy_Hobson/2014/03/19/paparazzo_wants_kanye_west_to_stand_tr

Paparazzo wants Kanye West to stand trial?

Ramos claimed West punched him in an unprovoked attack and wrestled his camera to the ground during the scuffle. Ramos is suing West and attended Monday's hearing accompanied by his lawyer, Gloria Allred. Prosecutors declined to file felony charges against West, but city prosecutors decided to pursue misdemeanor charges. Each count carried a penalty of up to six months in jail or a $1,000 fine. West was arrested in September 2008 after another scuffle with photographers inside a terminal at LAX, but the cases were dismissed after he completed anger management treatment and agreed to pay the photographers for broken equipment.
Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/18/kanye-west-anger-management_n_4983323.html
